iPADIS AND ICAO FORMALIZE NEW COOPERATION AGREEMENT

Montréal, 27 January 2021 – The International Partners for Aviation Development, Innovation and Sustainability (iPADIS) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) that establishes a framework for cooperation on the future development of civil aviation worldwide.
“The aspirations of ICAO and iPADIS are very much aligned in shaping the future sustainability of the global air transport system in a post pandemic era and I greatly look forward to building on this cooperative approach to realize our common objectives,” emphasized ICAO Council President Salvatore Sciacchitano.
“This MoU supports the global dialogue among regulators, industry, and civil society aimed at ensuring the return of air transport as a major contributor to economic growth, social progress and sustainable development, around the world,” added Dr. Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu, Founding President of iPADIS.
Areas covered by the MoU include aviation safety, air navigation capacity and efficiency, aviation security and facilitation, economic development of air transport and environmental protection as well as in the promotion of aviation development, sustainability, innovation and social responsibility.
